When you visit the website, technically necessary data is stored in server log files (e.g. browser type, operating system, time, IP address). This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals, is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after 14 days at the latest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). The website is hosted by [name and address of the hosting provider]; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

If you contact us by email, via the contact form or by telephone, we process your details solely to handle your request (Art. 6 (1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once the purpose no longer applies. Please note that email is not encrypted by default.
4. Participation in studies (registration form)
You can register voluntarily as a study participant using the form “Become a participant”. We process the details you provide – first name, last name, gender, date of birth, phone number, email address, hobbies/interests, chronic illnesses and further information – exclusively to select and conduct studies, on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the checkbox before submitting the form.
Information on chronic illnesses constitutes health data within the meaning of Art. 9 (1) GDPR and is processed only with your explicit consent (Art. 9 (2)(a) GDPR) and never passed on to third parties. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; your data will then be deleted.
5. Storage period and disclosure
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by statutory retention periods. Personal data is generally not disclosed to third parties; exceptions are the hosting provider (as processor under Art. 28 GDPR) and statutory obligations. Data is not transferred to third countries.
